Description
This temporary reference position will join a team of professional librarians in the Research & Scholarship department, and reports to the Associate Director for Research & Scholarship (ARS). The principal duties of this position are providing reference to our faculty and students. Under the direction of full-time reference librarians, this librarian will provide liaison support to members of the law school faculty. This position is hybrid eligible, and, depending on circumstances, may be fully remote.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Serving as a member of the Law Library’s general reference team, the candidate is expected to:
o Provide high-caliber legal reference service to Law School faculty and students.
o Support library liaison services and provide personalized library services for faculty, including complex research.
o Assist in answering reference questions via chat and/or email inquiries. If onsite, participate in reference desk coverage rotation.
Classification
This is an appointment as a part-time researcher (Librarian/Liaison), with a maximum of 25 hours of work per week.
Salary
$35.00/Hour.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
• M.L.S. & J.D. (or equivalents).
• Experience providing in-depth and complex legal research and reference support.
Preferred Qualifications
• 1-3 years of academic law library experience.
• Some experience with foreign, comparative and international law sources.
