The Law Library at George Mason University invites applications for a capable management-level librarian to join our library’s administrative team while also contributing to our faculty liaison program and participating in teaching legal research throughout the LRWA curriculum and in Scholarly Writing. About the Law Library:
The Law Library supports a robust Law School, with a student population over 500 and more than fifty full-time teaching faculty. The Law School and Library support a daytime and Flex JD program, an LLM program, and a JM program. The Law Library also serves as a resource to attorneys and GMU alumni in the Washington, D.C. region. The Library provides access to a collection that is focused to support our faculty and students. The Library also houses the Law Schools Technology Services team, and we strive to provide excellent support for instructional technologies, the student technology experience, and the faculty technology experience.
About the Position:
The Associate Director assists the Associate Dean for Library & Technology in the general administration of the library, including preparation of budgets, management of personnel, and the development and implementation of long-range plans. The Associate Director is responsible for administration of all facets of day-to-day public services operations, including circulation, reference, interlibrary loan, collection maintenance, instructional services, and the use of information instruction technologies. The Associate Director is in charge of the library in the absence of the Associate Dean for Library & Technology.
