    The Technical Services Administrator is responsible for acquisitions for US based Dechert offices, using the integrated library system (EOS) as well as alert management.

    Job Description

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Creates and manages requested alerts using various resources, including a news aggregator as well as individual sources.
    • Maintains and manages firm wide alert tracking.
    • Maintains current awareness materials and distributions, while periodically reviewing, identifying, and proposing solutions to streamline functionality.
    • Manages the acquisition workflow for US offices, for both print and online, including but not limited to, ordering, tracking, receipt, processing, and budget.
    • Identifies and proposes cost saving measures related to acquisitions, including but not limited to annual contracts, swap periods, and consolidation of resources.
    • Plans and leads the Firm’s deskbook programs, print and digital, helping craft policies and ensuring compliance, as well as providing innovate ways to provide material.
    • Analyzes and develops current and potential data sets to allow for additional robust reporting features regarding the Firm’s collections and budgets.
    • Develops and administers the vendor and serial control databases in the department’s information management system.
    • Participate in the annual department budgeting process.
    • Assists in the onboarding of new employees by procuring access to resources.
    • Shelves books and files newsletters and periodicals as needed.
    • Assists in interlibrary loan requests as needed.
    • Strives to fulfill department mission and to adhere to department and firm rules at all times.
    • Practices and fosters a culture of teamwork and cooperation.
    • Performs any and all other duties as are necessary for the efficient functioning of the team.

    • Knowledge of the Firm’s Policies and Procedures.
    • Knowledge of basic budgeting and expenses management.

    • Ability to learn new databases and apply resource applications.
    • Familiarity with library cataloging systems and logic.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s degree required.
    • MLS preferred.
    • Two years of law library experience preferred.
