Digital Access Coordinator – Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading global law firms with more than 4,000 lawyers and staff in 31 offices is currently seeking a Digital Access Coordinator, resident in our Philadelphia, Boston, or Los Angeles office locations. The Digital Access Coordinator supports the Research Resources team functions related to the firm-wide use of digital resources, including password management, cost recovery, usage statistics, subscription database support, resource and connectivity troubleshooting, department intranet content management as directed by the team, and technical workflow operations for Research & Library Services staff in all offices. The Coordinator works as part of a Digital Access Team to identify, evaluate, and implement technologies and applications to support the research resource needs of the firm’s legal and professional staff and clients.
The selected candidate will be on a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule. Hours may vary in order to support the Team in all US Time Zones / throughout the US domestic offices.
Fulfill requests for database passwords, and maintains credential information in the firm’s Resource Management system.
Create and maintain user distribution lists associated with digital subscriptions. Undertake periodic reviews with vendors to ensure accuracy of those lists and to reconcile them with firm directories.
Maintain current list of valid IP addresses as well as relevant documentation regarding provider notification. Serves as primary firm contact for IP addresses.
Coordinate with IT and Networking Teams with regard to VPN, IP and IDM protocols.
Maintain documentation relating to digital services and vendors. Updates vendor records for digital resources in department Sharepoint database.
Work with the Research Resources team to maintain documentation and protocols for all legal staff arrivals and departures.
Work with Library Managers and Trainers on onboarding procedures for new attorneys and professional staff.
Assist Digital Access Librarian and Manager in testing new digital information products.
Provide assistance with usage report processing.
Document end-user protocols.
Cross-train and support members of the Research Resources Team. Provide overviews of Digital Access tools and applications to Research & Library Services Team members.
Troubleshoot basic connectivity issues.
Provide digital technical support for Research Staff in all offices firm-wide.
Participate in and contribute to Single Sign-On protocol and workflow.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
This job requires:
A Bachelor’s degree and
A minimum of two years of experience in some level of technical resource management in online research and/or information systems in a library setting. Law firm experience strongly preferred.
OR: equivalent combination of education and experience.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
To perform the job successfully, an individual must demonstrate the following knowledge skills and abilities:
Practical and resourceful problem solving abilities.
Experience working with Integrated Library Systems including OPACs, and with Resource Management applications. Familiarity with the Innovative Interfaces platform a plus.
Ability to read and interpret general business documents, instructions and manuals, write routine business correspondence, and speak effectively with employees, clients, and vendors.
Basic arithmetic skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide all units of measure)
Ability to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions and deal with problems in routine situations
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a basic knowledge of / be proficient in the following software:
Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, OneNote, Teams and Outlook.
Working knowledge of HTML and other web technologies.
Moderate familiarity with SharePoint.
Knowledge of IP authentication and other basic networking protocols.
