Every year GPLLA offers worthy candidates a chance to apply for student scholarships as well as grants for working information professionals.
The Scholarship:
GPLLA awards scholarships in the amount of $1,000 to promising LIS students interested in pursuing a career in law librarianship. Award recipients will also be provided a one year membership to GPLLA.
The 2013 application deadline is May 6, 2013. E-mailed applications are preferred, but mailed copies are acceptable. Application procedures and mailing information are listed at the end of the scholarship application.
Grants
GPLLA’s Grants & Scholarships Committee administers funds which allow its members to attend educational programs, seminars, etc. relevant to law librarianship. The grants are aimed at law librarians and student members who demonstrate potential to contribute to the organization in particular and to the profession as a whole.
Grants are awarded for an amount up to, but not exceeding $500.00. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
