November Webinar: UELMA

  • Who: Vince DiLiberato is the Director of the Legislative Reference Bureau and was a member of the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws which drafted UELMA in 2011.
  • When: Wednesday, November 12, 2014 @ 12pm
  • Where: Watch your inboxes for the invitation. It will be sent to the listserv!
  • Why you should attend:The Uniform Electronic Legal Material Act (UELMA) is a uniform law that addresses many of the concerns posed by the publication of state primary legal material online. UELMA provides a technology-neutral, outcomes-based approach to ensuring that online state legal material deemed official will be preserved and will be permanently available to the public in unaltered form. It furthers state policies of accountability and transparency in providing legal information to the public. As of October 2014, UELMA has become law in twelve states: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Minnesota, Nevada, North Dakota, Oregon, and Pennsylvania.” – AALL, UELMA FAQs ( UELMA/UELMAFAQs.pdf)

  • When: Wednesday, December 10, 2014, 5:30 pm-7:30 pm
  • Where: Di Bruno Bros, 2nd floor, 1730 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19103

This event is being sponsored by Thomson Reuters.

In the meantime, the GPLLA board will consider members’ wine and beer suggestions for the party’s social lubricant options! (Not that librarians need alcohol to let loose when we party, right?) Please send your suggestions to Charlotte Schneider (
