GPLLA Legal Research Course 2012
Each year GPLLA offers an introductory legal research course to Philadelphia-area professionals interested in learning more about researching and understanding Pennsylvania and federal laws. This highly recommended, highly successful course has proven especially helpful for librarians, paralegals and legal secretaries.
- When: Thursdays, March 8 – April 19, 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
- Where: Jenkins Law Library, 833 Chestnut Street, Suite 1220, Philadelphia, PA 19107
- Cost: $225 per person; enrollment fee includes legal research textbook.
This year’s course schedule:
- March 8: Introduction to Legal Research, Case Law and Reporters
- March 15: Statutory Research
- March 22: Administrative/Regulatory Research
- March 29: Electronic Research: Westlaw
- April 5: Electronic Research: Lexis
- April 12: Secondary Sources plus Electronic Research: Internet
- April 19: Pennsylvania Research
