Competitive Intelligence Research Librarian – Morgan Lewis

        Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP is currently looking for a Competitive Intelligence Research Librarian in its Philadelphia Office.  The department is expanding and this is a newly added position.  This position reports to the Manager of Competitive Intelligence and interacts with a local and virtual team of colleagues who uses an extensive collection of internal and external resources to gather, filter, synthesize, organize, package and deliver business and competitive intelligence information necessary to support firm-wide business and client development. This position will be responsible for general research under the guidance of the Manager of Competitive Intelligence and also for using appropriate tools and technology to gather and disseminate CI deliverables through email, print reports, personal delivery and presentation.

The successful candidate will have the following: 

            Master’s degree in Library Science (ALA accredited preferred), and 3-5 years of legal and business research experience in a law firm or other professional services environment;

              Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint;

               Advanced research skills with online searching in corporate databases such as: Lexis-Nexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg, Monitor, Courtlink, Mergermarket, Pacer, D&B, Hoovers , Westlaw for Business;

               Web page development experience, Sharepoint preferred;

               Demonstrated project management skills, customer service skills, and planning/organizational skills;

               Excellent oral and written communication;

               Be a self-starter;

               Ability to adapt to change and balance competing demands;

               Ability to interact with all levels of management and departments.
